Another Desktopx 4 beta has been released.  The standard and the professional version have both gotten the same updates   This build focuses the feedback that has been recieved after the initial release last week.

Post anything that looks odd.  Make sure to give us system information like your OS (including 32 or 64 bit), and if it's hard to explain (or even if it isn't) a screenshot.

Maybe if Brad saw some more action in the DX galleries, attention would be paid.

Well, that is a 2 sided thing. There where lots and lots of suggestions and bug reports made in the course of time, 80 % of them ignored or to not to sound so negative just 'not worked on' (which even increased in time). Maybe some people just gave up working arround bugs and missing features they suggested on and on ? And having to do everything via scripts without proper plugins is another thing, that isn't very clever. That one shut down DX for non coders nearly completely besides copying scripts to death see weather and calendars. Sure, scripting is a great addition, but nowadays DX nearly relies on it, as the plugins aren't updated in time.

And there are the 'I love DX' threads which should draw attention also not to give up on development. Oh well...

I think that based on the non-input of SD since Zu left shows us all where DX stands.

Stardock....

Hmmm... Once again - the bad news.   Seems this explains the last events around DX... Besides I'm thinking that we lost the last chance to see the finished DX 4.X.

Do you know what happened with Zu?

Anyway this place will be empty without him...

Is it official that Zubaz has left Stardock? It sure looks like DX4 was released prematurely, and nobody from Stardock is informing us as to the state of DesktopX. It doesn't look like anybody cares, and that's sad.

Hey everyone.

Yes . . I have left Stardock.  Don't worry, they and I are still cool, things just didn;'t work out like both they and I wanted.

When I left last month DX was still getting attention.  The goal was to strip it down to bare bones and build it back up into something more useful than it was.  With Brad now focused on the app side of the house instaed of teh game side I'd expect great things.

The lead dev of DX flew to the US in September and Brad, he, and I were all very excited to see DX back in it's glory.  Give it some time.

And . . while I'm not a Stardockian right now ,I'm still around both SD and WC.  It takes more than not paying me to make me go away.

And it appears that you've had time for typing/spelling improvement!!!   Yay!!

Good to see ya Zu, I love pickin at ya!

After a re-read, I take it back. You must've edited the mistakes in?

Hi Zu,

I understand you. Each person is the owner of his and you are absolutely right!

Great news. But who is the lead developer of DX now? Whether he will manage to cope with a problem and return DX its glory? I'm not sure because too much time has been lost in vain...

Give it some time.

How much? Until the world financial crisis will be finished? Or when my eyes will be too weak to see it on my computer?
