Another Desktopx 4 beta has been released.  The standard and the professional version have both gotten the same updates   This build focuses the feedback that has been recieved after the initial release last week.

Post anything that looks odd.  Make sure to give us system information like your OS (including 32 or 64 bit), and if it's hard to explain (or even if it isn't) a screenshot.

I'm running 3.5 , or so it says, but I still have the right click DX addition and now my widgets won't run at startup. I place a ckeck where it says to, but it won't stay checked!!

Me too, it's 3.5 or no widgets

Open Impulse ,click on the blue button @top left. Uncheck "Show prerelease versions" Then right click on DX and verify installation. It will say an update is available, which will be 3.5. I hope this is helpful. It's how I rolled back anyway.

Like many others, I had sever problems with the beta and rolled back to 3.5. Here's hoping for a working '4' soon

Ok - this seems to be the official bug report thread. I'll add what I posted in the other. Just to be sure.

I was checcking out DX4 and looking back at some of the bugs, issues I reported years ago: here's one from 2007:

http://www.thomthom.net/blog/2007/08/desktopx-bugs-issues-and-feature-requests/

with some dating as far back as at least 2005: http://www.thomthom.net/storage/software/sd_bugs_issues_features.html

And the Script Editor still uses some weird Bang Che font under Vista/Windows7, which doesn't display characters correctly. Something I reported when Vista came out.

I've sent this to SD support. But beeing how they have gone unoticed for so many years I'm adding them here, yet again just to be sure they're seen. Excuse my "spamming".

This does work. I had the same problems. Ill keep 3.5 til this gets fixed.

... in about one more year

So, it does seem like this has died.  I have not seen a response to my question about if its still being worked on.  Such a shame.  And i paid for OD 2010 for this main reason..

on Dec 14, 2009

Well, given the point that Stardock uses DX for games I wonder why this is so difficult...
